Returning applicants, log in here Senior Solutions Architect Posting Location : Location Remote US NJ Posting date 2 weeks ago (2/5/2021 9:21 AM) Job ID 84509 Job summary The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join us in the New York or New Jersey area. In this role, you will create possibilities, solve problems, and establish working relationships with our customers. You'll help our customers invest in solutions from across the Red Hat portfolio that will give them a competitive advantage. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will support field sales account managers in managing large commercial accounts and businesses. You'll apply your technical expertise, passion for open source, thorough understanding of business processes, and ability to identify and create business solutions across multiple technology platforms at the enterprise level. You'll also need to have excellent communication and people skills as you'll be a crucial part of the first impression our customers have with Red Hat.--Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business. Primary job responsibilities
                • Support the Sales team with recommendations for development and implementation of complex offerings and solutions to help them achieve sales quotas
                • Meet revenue goals and deployment and service objectives while sustaining good relationships with existing and prospective customers
                • Build, design, and present complex solutions to customers
                • Conduct technical demonstrations of Red Hat's solutions and identify the appropriate solutions to meet customer needs and architectures
                • Collaborate with product teams and the Product Engineering, Professional Services, and Sales teams to ensure excellent customer experience with our offerings and solutions
                • Serve as a trusted subject matter expert for the customers, gain trust of IT professionals, and build long-lasting relationships within our key accounts
                • Demonstrate expertise by delivering whitepapers and conference speeches; share knowledge with your team members to allow them to learn from your work Required skills
                  • 5+ years of experience working as a sales engineer, consultant, solutions architect, or in another relevant role; experience with presales
                  • Knowledge of UNIX or Linux systems, preferably in a Red Hat platform like Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat Satellite, or other related technologies
                  • Automation knowledge, preferably in a Red Hat platform like Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform
                  • Knowledge of Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and container technologies
                  • Knowledge of open source cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions like Red Hat OpenStack Platform and KVM
                  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
                  • Ability to interpret customer business and technical needs and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
                  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies
                  • Ability to present to and have technical and business discussions with C-level executives
                  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
