Description:MEDICAL ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION: COVID-19 SUPPORTThe Medical Assistant(s) will be sitting at all building entrance checkpoints screening both employee and visitor temperatures as an increased level of prevention amid the COVID-19 Virus (Coronavirus). Visitors who have temperatures of 100.4 degrees or higher will be asked to leave site and seek medical attention at a nearby hospital or medical facility. Each shift will typically have two medical assistants to ease workflow and the Medical Assistant will be on site for all the hours of operation. Infrared thermometers will be provided on site by client. Qualifications:1) Must be a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) OR a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)2) Experience collecting patient vitals3) Experience in a customer service, patient facing or customer service role.Frequently Asked Questions:If someone does present to these individuals with a fever, what is the protocol Aerotek's contractors would follow? Are Aerotek's contractors responsible for security and not letting sick people in the building? Aerotek contractors are set-up at a table inside the entrance of each facility. They are only responsible for taking visitors'/internal employees' temperatures as they enter the facility. If the thermometer reads over 100.4*, the contractor should notify the person that he/she is not permitted to enter the building due to company policy. This is communicated with an accompanying security officer or internal employee who will be sitting with the contractors during every shift and location. In the event of any potential conflict, it is solely the security officer's responsibility to escort the person out of the building.What is the range of the infrared thermometers? Will Aerotek's contractors be within a six-foot zone of potentially sick individuals? The infrared thermometers' range is up to 3ft; however, contractors will NOT be touching people entering the facility. All contractors will be wearing masks, gloves and are provided by client with hand sanitizing stations at each table.What training is provided to our contractors? Will they be trained on safe practices to prevent exposure to illness, including proper PPE usage? It is suggested that all clients provide at least one hour of onboarding orientation to the contractors starting the positions. This orientation includes safe practices to prevent sickness (proper hand washing, how to wear masks and gloves, etc.). All PPE will be provided by client and a write up of safe practices will be posted on each table that an Aerotek contractor will be working at.Skills:patient care, medical assessment, medical assisting, temperature, vitals, PPE, MedicalTop Skills Details:1) Experience collecting patient vitals or having patient interaction2) Experience in a customer service, patient facing or customer service role.Additional Skills & Qualifications:1) CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) is preferred, but not required.
