Description: Our client is currently seeking a Instructional Designer
SUMMARY:
This position will work closely with partners with, volunteers and external vendors to design and develop courseware in all formats for professional education and services program.
The incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for the technical aspects of the online educational course design. - -He/She develops instructional course design in line with 21st century online teaching methods. - He/She manages existing and developing Learning Management Systems, and works with other platforms inside and outside of our client. - Quality Assurance in the technical aspects of courseware is critical.
Key Responsibilities:
Specific duties include but not limited to:
--- - - - - - - Instructional Design (50%)
--- - - - - - - Executes instructional design strategy and framework for the Education, working in concert - with senior management of the department
--- - - - - - - Follows departments established eLearning production process
--- - - - - - - Oversees all audio and video needs for multimedia products including the design, - - - - - - - - - implementation, production, filming, recording, and mixing
--- - - - - - - Reviews and recommends appropriate interface design solution to projects, included the - - - function of graphic design, production, graphic optimization, etc.
--- - - - - - - Works with multiple subject matter experts to edit course content and assist SMEs to - - - - - - provide the level of content detail needed
--- - - - - - - Works with the content development partners, some of whom may be inexperienced in - - - - instructional design, to develop the courseware in a professional and timely manner
--- - - - - - - Develops course curriculum/writes storyboards for online eLearning courses
--- - - - - - - Project Management (15%)
--- - - - - - - Manages, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates projects to achieve project milestones/goals
--- - - - - - - Documents communications and maintain documentation on all projects; presents status - - - on projects, outstanding issues and operational challenges
--- - - - - - - Delivers effective solutions on time, on budget, and according to stated requirements
--- - - - - - - Documents project tasks and assigns owners in project management system
--- - - - - - - Relationship Management (15%)
--- - - - - - - Builds and maintains relationships with subject matter experts, stakeholders and vendors
--- - - - - - - Works closely with all stakeholders to determine additional information requirements for - - - each project
--- - - - - - - Drives high levels of satisfaction with both external and internal partners and customers
--- - - - - - - General Administration (20%)
--- - - - - - - Supports all volunteer committees or sub-committees as assigned
--- - - - - - - Proofreads eLearning courses as assigned
--- - - - - - - Assists in providing technical support for the existing Learning Management System and Learning Network
--- - - - - - - Works on other Educational Activities projects, services and products as needed and - - - - - - - assigned
QUALIFICATIONS --- - - - - - -Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Req
--- - - - - - -Master's or other advanced degree Pref

Licenses and Certifications
--- - - - - - -Instructional design certification

Work Experience
--- - - - - - -4-7 years' Work experience in professional education with 2-4 years in the field of designing - - - - - - - -educational programs, online continuing education required
--- - - - - - -Experience in developing courseware in the STEM fields preferred
Skills and Requirements

--- - - - - - -Ability to work flexibly and cooperatively in a matrix environment
--- - - - - - -Demonstrated experience developing working relationships with both internal and external - - stakeholders
--- - - - - - -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required
--- - - - - - -Technical skills with audio, video and graphic editing tools. ;familiarity with SCORM standards
--- - - - - - -Experience with Adobe Captivate or Storyline and Meridian Learning Management System - - helpful
--- - - - - - -Experience with visual design and color theory as it relates to instructional design
--- - - - - - -Excellent proofreading abilities and detailed oriented
--- - - - - - -Good quantitative and analytical experience
--- - - - - - -Ability to manage projects in an organized and effective manner
--- - - - - - -Willingness to stay abreast of instructional design trends, building eLearning courses for - - - - accessibility, and the latest educational technology
