Job Description:

CytoSorbents Inc., a critical care immunotherapy leader, is seeking a curious, enthusiastic, and highly skilled Biology Research Associate to work in a fast-paced research environment dedicated to establishing and developing novel applications for the company's extracorporeal blood purification technologies. This individual will work as part of a team that interfaces with internal R&D, including analytical and polymer chemists, and multiple external collaborators.

This exciting position will provide support for feasibility of the use of the company's sorbent technologies in new indications!

Responsibilities
Under minimal supervision, perform laboratory research in support of projects of strategic importance to the company
Develop, optimize, and implement test methods for analyzing bioanalytical samples (blood, plasma, serum)
Design and execute experimental protocols, analyze and interpret data, present results, and document studies in lab notebooks and written reports
Understand the greater context of the lab work, and provide technical, scientific, and intellectual input to projects
Perform literature research in support of new project ideas, grants, publications, and patents
Contribute to general lab operations (e.g., equipment maintenance, maintain a clean and organized lab environment)
Interface with internal and external collaborators in support of a wide variety of projects

Requirements
BS with 4+ years of lab experience, or MS with 1+ years of lab experience
Degree in immunology, cell or molecular biology, biochemistry, or biological science
Strong experience at the lab bench with good attention to detail and accuracy
Broad understanding of cell and molecular biology, immunology, and oncology
Excellent writing skills (reports, grants, white papers, and scientific publications)
Willingness to work with human and animal blood and blood products
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to maintain positive and productive working relationships with colleagues
Adhere to and respect all company policies and practices

Preferred Additional Skills
Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture a big plus
Proficiency with immunoassays (ELISA, multiplex Luminex assays)
Experience with flow cytometry
Scientific writing experience (peer-reviewed publications, grants)
