The Sales Manager at the River House at Odette's is responsible for developing new business and initiating strong and effective sales strategies for event bookings at the property. They are in charge of prospecting, negotiating, and booking events to maximize revenue potential, exceed client expectations, build brand loyalty, and represent the property in a professional manner. This position demands a dynamic, well-rounded, team player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong customer service skills, and the proven ability to meet/exceed aggressive sales goals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Work with Executive Director of Sales and Marketing to set financial and space utilization goals, benchmarks, and incentives.

Solicit banquet and event sales as directed by the designated market segment, and negotiate and close business for the property.

Coordinate contracts, reservations, and payment with all clients.

Maintain, support, and cultivate the sales team to achieve established performance benchmarks.

Actively participate in the community maximizing networking opportunities and attend industry-related organizations and trade shows.

Assist as needed in support for Coordinators and Operations Team for contract accounts to ensure smooth communication with all departments.

Develop and continually enhance relationships with key clients to maintain and increase the property's market share.

Maintain consistent and timely verbal and written communication with clients and departments of the property.

Attend and actively participate in weekly sales meetings.

Other duties as assigned.
