FutureProof Your Career Come Join SE2 as the Senior Communications Specialist!SE2 is looking for a Senior Communications Specialist with strong writing skills to join our communications team to deliver high-impact communication campaigns and content.
This role is responsible for the development and execution of effective internal communications strategies, plans and deliverables that drive employee engagement and adoption of large-scale organizational transformation, inclusive of process changes, technology deployments, cultural initiatives, and more. You will partner closely with project managers and change management leads, as well as subject matter experts and executive leadership.

This role will help them reach the right audience, with the right message, at the right time, through the right channels. The right candidate never stops looking for exciting, novel ways to reach people, particularly when it comes to making complex topics simple, intuitive, and interesting.
This role will work to ensure consistency of messaging and ensure employees are informed and engaged ambassadors of SE2. The position will be based in our Topeka, KS office. This role will report into the Manager of Internal Communications.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create new, and improve existing, internal communication channels for driving associate engagement and to share strategic information with employees
• Assist with building internal communications editorial plans, calendars, and publishing
• Assist with managing editorial calendar and content on corporate communication channels, balancing input from key internal stakeholders across a range of businesses and geographies
• Research, write, and edit content pieces/assets including articles, intranet copy, emails, scripts, memos, and other communication collaterals
• Research, write, and edit content for the internal newsletters
• Manage deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously and to meet changing demands and adapt to frequently changing priorities
• Identify measurements for all communications-related materials and routinely analyze communications performance
• Champion the use of the intranet, collaboration tools and such to ensure associates stay engaged and informed
• Act as a communications partner for internal groups and help them develop narrative plans that tie multiple communication moments together into broader strategies
• Collaborate with third-party agencies to develop creative concepts for communication campaigns
• Understand and translate SE2 brand and style guidelines into a clear, confident, and human voice
• Translate creative briefs into understandable and compelling content pieces/assets that enhance communication, persuade readers, and distinguish the SE2 brand; factor in internal stakeholder feedback, legal guidelines, and other requirements
  ?Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Communications, English or a related field
  • 5+ years of writing/editing/proofreading experience in corporate communications, journalism, publishing, public relations, marketing or related field
  • Writing samples required
  • Conceptual, creative thinker with a passion for writing, story-telling, and the willingness to learn from others
  • Ability to structure and conduct interviews and other fact-finding research efforts and synthesize findings into key points
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in dealing with executive leaders
  • Experience in a corporate environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. HTML skills a plus
  • Passion for storytelling and ability to research, write, and edit content
