Job Description:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program
Coordinator for the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology
within the School of Public Health. Under the direction of the
Principal Investigator, the Research Teaching Specialist IV is
responsible for the management of a small research team, designs
and conducts specialized research projects, and assists with
supervision of other research technicians and graduate
students.Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Assists in the establishment of performance standards, as well asin
the selection of methodology and instrumentation related to
research activities. Coordinates and tracks study activities
including recruitment, quantitative and qualitative data
collection, and biological sample collection. Creates, implements,
and supervises other staff in conducting research and technical
operations in New Jersey and at national study sites, independently
or as assigned, followed by appropriate reports, recommendations
and conclusions. Assists with mentorship and supervision of
students, fellows, lower-level professionals, and technicians in
study procedures, instrumentation, etc. to develop the skills
necessary to perform the required functions. Assists with the
preparation of proposals, formal applications, budgets, and
justifications for grant applications. Oversees data dissemination
activities, including authoring peer-reviewed manuscripts and
newsletters. Minimum Education and Experience Master's Degree in a
relevant science, or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant science. One
(1) year of related research experience (with Bachelor's Degree).
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Statistical Computing
Programs (e.g., SAS , R, SPSS ). Electronic data collection
platforms (e.g., REDCap, Qualtrics). CITI Human Subjects Research
