POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESThe SWAN-Aging study is seeking a full-time clinical research coordinator - to assist with the start-up and operation of this newly funded longitudinal study as well as the operation of current, ongoing research endeavors as well as assist future studies. The Clinical Research Coordinator - will also provide administrative support to the Director to ensure efficient and effective dayto-day functioning of the research. - The CRC will adhere to the highest standards of professional values and work ethic, while furthering the mission and vision of the SWAN-Aging study and other research related studies. He/she will uphold confidentiality as it relates to the Principal Investigators (PIs), study participants, colleagues, and any situations arising that relates to the study and collaborations with other medical and research centers. -Applicants must be highly motivated with the strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact with study participants, colleagues and the PI, Director, and other investigators. The ideal applicant should have the drive and enthusiasm to assist on quality improvement and clinical research projects that aim to improve the health and overall well-being of women.

  • Assisting with the day-to-day implementation of study protocols.
  • Proactively managing a complex time-line of study deadlines and requests from the main coordinating center with utmost attention to accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee the recruiting, consenting study participants, and assisting with retainment of the study population virtually or in-person.
  • Oversee the coordination of the scheduling of all study visits ensuring that all subjects complete all the protocols that they have consented to.
  • Oversee the coordination of -all mailings including subject questionnaires, newsletters, and holiday cards. In addition, will assist in the coordination of community canvassing efforts to locate difficult to find research study participants.
  • Assisting with the coordination of all lab/specimen samples and ensuring shipments are sent per study protocols. As well as communicating with all labs regarding shipments and ensuring that documentation procedures are adhered to.
  • Assisting in culling and coordinating dual language materials for IRB(sIRB) submissions and assisting in monitoring for protocol deviations.
  • Requesting subject medical records for medical events, as needed. - -
  • Maintaining confidentiality of research projects and patient information per HIPAA. Adherence to all study protocols.
  • Serving as a primary contact for all research subjects.
  • May assist with study-wide training of staff and study volunteers as appropriate for level of position.QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's Degree required -
    • 1-2 years of directly related experience preferred.
    • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and be comfortable self-directing work
    • Proficient with of a variety of software programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and experience with videoconferencing apps( Zoom) and social media platform management. -
    • Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral)
    • Bilingual- Fluent in both English and Spanish and proficient( written and oral).
    • Highly organized and able to effectively manage a myriad of tasks simultaneously.
    • Ability to work effectively within a culture inclusive of individuals with diverse backgrounds, styles, abilities, and motivations, and appreciate and leverage the capabilities, insights, and ideas of all individuals
    • Ability to work well with all levels of personnel
    • Ability to work independently and as a member of the team
    • Must be adept at independent and collaborative problem-solving
    • Ability to prioritize and manage several projects with demanding workloads.
    • Proven ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
    • Careful attention to detail
    • Prior clinical interviewing experience preferred.
    • Prior experience with recruitment and retention of research subjects preferred but not required. -Work will be completed primarily at our Jersey City study clinic office located in Journal Square in Jersey City, New Jersey. -Preferable to have a car to drive to home interviews as needed when applicable. This will be dependent on status of COVID-19 precautions and restrictions.
