Job Description:

Our client, a manufacturing company in Cranbury, NJ, is seeking a Customer Service Account Specialist for their busy corporate accounts team. This is an onsite, direct-hire position paying between $50k and $55k.Major Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage customer account inquires via email and telephone
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and obtain all relevant information with regards to shortages, damages, credits and returns per our agreed procedures
  • Process orders transmitted via RepTime/MarketTime, fax, EDI and customer portals the same day as received
  • Apply Sales Program policies and deal sheet criteria to orders & resolve discrepancies with sales representatives and/or customer
  • Process additions and cancellations using various customer portals & record details of actions taken.
  • EDI: Must be able to read, interpret and clear errors from EDI workflow and release orders to warehouse based on customer ship windows and expectations. Monitor the routing & shipping to ensure orders are meeting ship/cancel windows. Sending/Resending EDI Invoices & ASN's
  • Must have advanced knowledge of SAP Sales Document module including creating/manipulating SAP reports and variants. Saving reports from SAP to Excel, entering orders, creating "ship to's" in SAP and maintaining EDI tables in SAP on key accounts
  • Process FOB Container orders to ship directly from Germany to our FOB customers. Act as liaison between Germany and our customers with respect to ship dates, tracking information and invoicing.
  • Review vendor guidelines on yearly basis and keep all departments informed of updates. All information and guidelines to be saved and maintained in "vendor documentation" file
  • Maintain account profiles
  • Process returns and credits accordingly and in a timely manner.
  • Provide proof of delivery for claims to A/R Department for unpaid invoices
  • Take ownership of customer issues and follow problems through to resolution
  • Ensure service quality standards and customer expectations are consistently being met.
  • Special projects and duties as assigned Qualifications:
    • Strong Customer Service mindset with a passion for delighting both internal and external customers
    • Proven Team Player
    • Excellent working knowledge of SAP with a solid foundation in SAP Reporting and EDI transactions and tables
    • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications including Excel & Word. MUST be able to use VLOOKUP function in Excel
    • Excellent analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data
    • Well organized, methodical thinker with creative problem solving skills
    • Ability to work in a fast paced changing environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Minimum of 5 Years of relevant experience in a professional B2B customer service environment
    • Must be able to work overtime as needed to complete EDI requirements, or as needed in other Customer Service areas
    • Will be cross trained to process all customer accounts in order to assist and provide backup when needed
