Description Robert Half is looking to hire a remote Accounting Clerk for a reputable company in the insurance industry. The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk will be assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, and general forms of data entry. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity based in the Bridgewater, New Jersey area.How you will make an impact- Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources- Post financial figures to journals and ledgers- Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects- Aid Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing- Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes- Work with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance- Patch up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required Requirements - Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel- Quality experience with Mail Checks- Filing experience required- General familiarity with Distribute Checks- Accounting Principles experience desired- Practical knowledge of Pay Checks- Proven knowledge of Accounting Systems- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience- Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred- Experience with Administrative Assistance- Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work- Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system- Accurate, swift, data entry abilities- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
