Job Summary
The overall purpose of this position is to help develop and promote
the Client Awards Program to a wide variety of audiences, as well
as to communicate with award recipients, and promote all awards
events, including the Honors Ceremony and related activities. This
role is primarily responsible for content and campaigns that
generate member engagement while communicating information through
a wide variety of mediums about the Awards Program and related
activities. The Senior Digital Marketing and Communications
Specialist will engage and build the Client Awards community
online, analyze and report on data, and stay up to date on the
latest technologies that will enhance and raise the visibility of
the Awards Program, both internally and externally. As a team
player, the Senior. Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist
will also provide marketing guidance to the professional staff and
collaborate with other marketers and the awards team to develop
campaigns, create content, and focus on continuous, measurable
improvement.
This role nurtures social media accounts by implementing tactics
that grow followers, engage, and retain them, and help convert them
into active fans and promoters of our program. The Senior Digital
Marketing and Communications Specialist maintains command of best
practices and trends in inbound marketing, utilizes creativity, and
understands how to both build and convert a digital audience. The
Sr. Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist will be a
master storyteller and a metrics-driven social strategist.
This role has a direct impact on the ability of the Client Awards
Department to achieve the objectives of the Client Corporate Awards
Program and Client. While this role does not have direct reports,
the Senior Awards Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist
works collaboratively across the organization and influences the
work of others.
This position is based in the Client office in Piscataway, NJ and
reports to the Senior Manager, Awards Presentations. The incumbent
must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal guidance
in
team environment, as well as independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media management and monitoring and tracks ROI
- Set, plan and execute social media and communications campaigns
and strategies, with oversight by the Senior Manager.
- Builds and manages a rich content strategy and editorial
calendar with sharable content appropriate for specific platforms
and networks that attracts qualified audiences and members
(including social media posts, blog/microsite posts, webinars,
infographics, etc.).
- Writes and proofreads marketing collateral and content for a
variety of audiences and mediums to support the program.
- Creates and deploys effective email campaigns, including the
template designs and branding, calls-to-action, tracking links, and
content used in email sends.
- Explores and identifies new ways to engage our target audience
and leads to generate revenue.
- Develops templates and user guides for members, award
recipients, and recipient PR teams to be more efficient in their
postings on social media, blogs/microsites, email, and other
channels.
- Crafts articles and announcements to promote the Client
Corporate Awards program and for internal and external publications
and social consumption
- Collaborate with external PR firm(s) to support all projects,
including participating in key meetings and providing suggestions
for innovative ways to promote the Client Corporate Awards Program,
recipients, and events
- Researches and responds to media inquiries as appropriate
- Drafts scripts, blog content, web page content, schedules, and
other planning documents for program activities
- Updates the Corporate Awards website and optimizes content for
search engines and lead generation, including assisting with design
and development of graphic elements for the Client Corporate Awards
website and campaigns.
- Manage and track results and trends to deliver regular
reporting and analysis
- Manage articles/podcasts including speaker logistics, script
management, and post-production
- ct as proofreader for program correspondence
- ssists with video, audio, publishing projects that support the
annual event(s)
- Collaborates with internal or external vendors, and writers on
materials for the program
- Develops and distributes the annual Client Corporate Awards
Program booklet and other promotional materials.
- Develops and distributes communications to award recipient in
support of their recognition
- Maintains and updates the content on awards platforms and
automation tools
- Develops member and volunteer communications and promotions
including email, direct mail, campaigns, and social medi
- Creates and implement marketing campaigns and communication
strategies to promote live and/or virtual events, and sponsorship
activities
- Supports special projects and ad hoc committees.
- ttends Awards Board meetings, and assists in supporting goals
set by the AB
- ssists at on-site annual event(s)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Marketing,
Communications, or related discipline
Work Experience
- 4-7 years work experience in digital marketing and/or
communications, with proven skill in digital communications and
analytics reporting.
- Marketing automation system experience required
- Social media marketing experience required
- Graphic design skills a plus
Skills and Requirements
- Must be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal
skills who is able to establish and maintain relationships and
skillfully influence and advocate on behalf of the Client Awards
Program
- Working knowledge of current digital technologies, publishing
tools and trends in the advertising, communications, and marketing
industries
- Strong social media and online community management skills,
social media reporting
- Strong detail orientation and attention to accuracy and
consistency
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills
- Web and user experience design skills a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills required,
including creative problem solving
- Project management experience
- Skilled in developing presentations and presenting ideas
- Experience with marketing campaigns and marketing automation
systems
- Driven and results-oriented with strong ability to focus and
prioritize work
- Experience coordinating projects involving multiple
stakeholders a plus
- bility to work independently but also collaboratively with team
members, other Client partners, vendors, and contractors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of Adobe
Creative Suite a plus
- Demonstrated aptitude for effectively and efficiently working
with volunteer Boards and Committees for high-impact results
- Must demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism when
dealing with sensitive and/or confidential matters
