Guy Carpenter is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Princeton office: Data Architect What can you expect? - Design and build data models for applications. - Design, develop and implement strategic conceptual, logical, business and application data models. - Ensure the quality of data and primary advocate of data modeling methods and data. - Develop and deliver long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision. - Establish processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of corporate metadata. - Create methods for tracking such data for quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement. We will count on you to: - Designing and maintaining the data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models - Selecting appropriate databases and data storage technologies, designing the overall structure of the data pipeline, and ensuring that the data architecture is scalable and efficient - Designing and implementing data integration solutions to integrate data from various sources - Designing and implementing data migration solutions to ensure that data can be migrated from one system to another efficiently and effectively - Design and create data architecture, metadata, and repositories. - Develop and deliver long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision. - Evaluate hardware and software platforms - Strategize what the best practices are in relation to data security, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity - Responsible for following deliverables: o Data Architecture Design o Data Management & Integration Design o Data Documentation What you need to have: - 7 - 10 years of experience as a data architect - Experience working on enterprise data lake projects, business intelligence tools & cloud deployments - College degree or equivalent experience What makes you stand out? - Preferred skills are: - Experience with MongoDB or another NoSQL database, PostgreSQL, or any relational database - Experience with Data Lake, Databricks, SQL, ETL and MDM - Experience with data integration services such as Azure Data Factory - Experience with business intelligence tools. PowerBI or Qlik is preferred - Experience with Azure
