Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities Technical skills:

" DB2 LUW Database server installation, configuration and upgrade on Linux servers.

" Database disaster recovery setup (HADR).

" Database server encryption using DB2 native encryption and IBM Guardium.

" Manage database authentication and authorization.

" Database monitoring and performance optimization; db2expln, db2advis, db2top, db2diag, db2pd etc.

" Database backup and log management; database restoration from incremental/full backup image.

" Database storage space (tablespaces) and memory (bufferpools) management; database capacity planning.

" Design and implement database changes according to business requirement; roll-out changes to various database environments with releases.

" Data movement across various database environments.

" Triggers/Stored procedure/Functions/indexes creation based on application requirement.

" Logical data modelling and ERD generation using Erwin.

" Data loading and error resolution using load and import utilities.

" Data Profiling and cleansing using SQL statements.

" Perform database maintenance activities such as runstats, reorg, snapshots, prun logs etc.

" Knowledge of bash/shell scripting and cron scheduling.

" Basic knowledge of ETL and associated processes.
