Consumer Healthcare is becoming a standalone division within Sanofi
in order to become a faster moving, consumer and customer centric
business as part of project CHLOE (Consumer HealthCare Lead
Optimize Empower). This business and IT transformation will entail
a standalone ERP, Financial, Systems, Regulatory and People.
Global Digital Team: The team is charged with accelerating the
shift to precision marketing and to e-commerce sales, scaling
best-in-class data driven decision making tools, capturing new
opportunities in the digital health space and uphauling disjointed
commercial systems. T his team leverages both dedicated expertise
internally at Sanofi, and delivery and deployment partners. It
builds products, runs service / outsourcing contracts, and develops
centers of excellence in technology and digital.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position reports to the Head of Data Architecture, Modeling &
BI in the CHC business unit in Sanofi
A cornerstone of CHC transformation in the coming years, the Senior
Data Architect will create relationships across the enterprise that
help to understand CHC's business model, current data environment
and needs, and how data drives the success.
This position will collaborate with multiple business functions to
provide guidance in implementing the right data model and practices
that meet their needs.
S/he will closely work with business partners, stakeholders, and
the data governance team to create a logical data model
architecture for various data objects.
S/he will work on modern data architecture techniques and cloud
data technologies.
The candidate must be able to work independently and
collaboratively
You will work with a diverse team of business analysts, data
scientists, technical engineers, data architects, and project
managers to deliver outcomes aligned with our business need.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Data Architect will be responsible for:
Lead data architecture & modeling efforts within Snowflake, AWS,
and related cloud data products, including the design of data
structures and the identification of business transformation
logic.
Analyzing and translating business requirements into conceptual and
detailed logical data models.
Creating logical data models based on existing applications and
databases.
Working with business architects, data architects, and data
stewards to capture business requirements in a Logical Data
Model.
Transform the logical representation of the model into a physical
representation and work with database administrators to instantiate
and manage the data.
Contribute to assessment of appropriate data platform(s) for
solutioning efforts.
Responsible for the development of on-prem and/or cloud native
RDBMS, operational data store (ODS), data marts, and data lakes on
target platforms (SQL/NoSQL)
Collaborate with the BI and Analytics teams on creating optimized,
reusable semantic model, complete with metadata and lineage
information.
Oversee and govern the expansion of existing data architecture and
the optimization of data query performance via best practices
Define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best
practices, and related development for enterprise data models
Optimize the model to ensure predictable performance
Maintain the metadata - describing the data model, its structure,
and semantics
QUALIFICATIONS:
7 years or more experience in Data Architecture and Modeling. 3+
years' experience in Snowflake and AWS
Strong experience in Snowflake, AWS and related cloud data
products
Working knowledge of IICS, dbt and other ETL/ELT technologies
Experience with BI tools preferably Power BI
Advanced SQL Skills
Experience working in FMCG
Experience in Data strategies and developing logical and physical
data models on RDBMS, NoSQL and Cloud native databases
Agile ways of working and large projects phased delivery
Experience of Interfacing heterogeneous systems and data
sources
Working knowledge of procuring data from SAP
Education:
Bachelor's degree
TOGAF certification or similar Data Architecture education
preferred
Fluent in English
International program management skills:
