This job entails supporting many different projects each with different needs and schedules. Our environment is such that what we do can be of significant impact to project development teams.**Requirements:**+ **Source code control:** chosen technology is github. Must be able to navigate and administer github through the github enterprise web interface, but also be comfortable working with git at the command line level.+ **Build tools:** - most notably maven, but also NodeJS. Need to support different compilers at potentially different versions for different projects. The ability to make a distinction between release builds and snapshot builds.+ **Jenkins:** critical need. All build jobs, as well as all testing jobs, are automated through Jenkins. Both freestyle and pipeline jobs are used, must be knowledgable in both. Comfortable managing jenkins servers through both the GUI and command line.+ **Nexus Sonatype** : repositories for Maven artifacts - both those downloaded from the internet as well as those locally built, NodeJS artifacts, Python packages, docker images, and others. In the case of maven artifacts, Nexus acts as a proxy for maven central. Also, in the case of python, Nexus is a proxy for the python package index. Must be aware of what these centralized repositories are and how they interact with our environment.+ **Docker/Kubernetes/Rancher:** maintain multiple project-specific docker templates to offer different projects the languages and tools, at the versions they require, to build their products. Must be able to manage docker images, including creating new ones for any projects that might use a different build process, or updating existing ones to use newer technology. Rancher is used to manage Kubernetes.+ **AWS:** Must have experience.+ **Proficiency at the Linux command line:** Good knowledge of vi or emacs, understanding ansible, how to stop and start and debug services, how to deploy a war file, etc. Working knowledge of some scripting language.
