Job Description:

Our client, a leading global provider of life science solutions, has an immediate need for an experienced Machine Operator to join their winning team in Allentown.

Our candidate of choice will work in a fast paced and team environment alongside batchers, packers and quality assurance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow procedures. Always seeking quality over speed paying close attention to potential hazardous conditions.
Ensure the coding is correct for each batch.
Product inspection.
High-capacity employee able to work in a fast-paced environment efficiently and effectively.
Monitor machinery to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
Solve problems using standard operating procedures, technical knowledge, teamwork, and critical thinking.
Able to properly run and adjust machine for each item packed.
Apply safety principles in a work environment to minimize hazards and prevent losses to productivity.
Dependability and communication are key.
Regular, reliable, predictable attendance is a must.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Thorough understanding of safety and health laws, regulations, and policies.
Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other effective manufacturing and distribution techniques.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Associate degree in related field, or equivalent industry work experience required, Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years' experience as a progressive manager in an OEM production environment, highly preferred.
