This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual who aspires to take on a leadership role and contribute to the formation, management, and motivation of teams working on innovative and challenging projects. These projects encompass financial and technical assessments, design, permitting, and construction phases.Key Responsibilities:Engaging in business development activities, which include acquiring new clients, securing repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal creation, and devising and executing business development strategies.Managing and overseeing tasks and projects, including project planning, implementation of investigation and remediation projects, budgeting, schedule management, ensuring quality, client satisfaction, and profitability.Conducting engineering analysis, designing solutions, and estimating costs for sediment remediation projects.Providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff while effectively managing subcontractors.Developing work plans, evaluating data, and producing comprehensive reports.Crafting technical documents such as reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.Reviewing and overseeing the production of written materials.Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.Occasionally conducting fieldwork, including environmental sampling across various media, sediment characterization, overseeing drilling activities, contractor supervision, and involvement in remediation system operations, maintenance, and construction.Educational Background and Licensing:Bachelor's degree in engineering (with a preference for civil, chemical, or environmental engineering) is required.An advanced degree in the same field is preferred.Professional registration (P.E. or P.G.) is also preferred.Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:A minimum of 10 years (preferably 15+) of direct environmental consulting experience in the sediment remediation sector, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.A comprehensive understanding of CERCLA and other relevant state regulations is essential.Proven experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary project teams is required.Demonstrated success in client development and management is a key requirement.Exceptional leadership skills are crucial for this role.The ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment, manage multiple project assignments, meet tight deadlines, and travel to client sites as needed is essential.Possession of current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and refreshers is preferred.Willingness and ability to perform fieldwork and travel are necessary.A valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel are required.Interested in hearing more?
