IPS conducts applied computational research in areas that include genomic, structural and molecular informatics, computational and systems biology, patient selection and translational biomarker research, and broader fields including knowledge science, epidemiology and machine learning-across the full lifecycle of drug discovery and development and across all therapeutic areas at BMS. We do this in close partnership with scientific and clinical experts in the field, both inside and outside the company." We seek a creative and passionate computational scientist with a strong background in clinical data analysis to join the Immunology, Cardiovascular, and Neuroscience Translational Informatics team within Informatics and Predictive Sciences, a globally distributed group driving innovative computational research for discovery and early development. In this role, you will use machine learning and related computational approaches to analyze high-dimensional readouts from clinical trial and cohort patient profiling data. The results of your analyses will impact the progress of early programs through collaboration with cross-functional drug discovery and early development teams. As such, your work will directly influence the discovery and development of novel therapeutics to address unmet medical need in patients with neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric diseases. Basic Qualifications Bachelors and 5 years academic/industry experience or Masters and 3 years of academic/industry experience or PhD with no years of experience (computational biology, computational neuroscience or related) Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD from a recognized institution in a quantitative field such as computational biology, computational neuroscience or related
  • Experience analyzing and integrating high-dimensional molecular datasets such as multi-omics (RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, proteomics), single cell (CITE-seq, scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq), and/or spatial transcriptomics datasets
  • Experience analyzing clinical and molecular data from interventional clinical trials
  • Advanced hands-on knowledge of at least one high-level programming language such as R or Python for computational and reproducible research practices
  • Track record (such as scientific publications) in driving and advancing research projects/programs with computational approaches
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
