Brighton, and Arrochar.Work Days: Monday-Friday, 9 am - 5 pmWeekly
Hours: 35.00Salary Range: $64,350.00 - $65,400.00*Salary range
applicable when hired for NYC offices under NYC Human Rights Law
Int 1208-2018.Position SummaryScreen, counsel, and perform
activities related to patient treatment within off-site
centers/clinics. Provide administrative support and participate in
community outreach activities.Job Responsibilities
- Provide personal, behavioral, and vocational guidance
individually and in groups. Collaborate with medical staff to offer
supportive counseling, prevention, education, and concrete
services.
- Screen and evaluate prospective clients to determine
eligibility and refer to appropriate services as needed.
- Take psychosocial histories, orient new patients, and outline
program goals.
- Handle emergency situations using appropriate judgment and
community resources.
- Coordinate with legal, educational, social, governmental, and
medical agencies to acquire supportive services; communicate via
letters, phone, and referrals.
- Assist with report completion for outside agencies and
regulatory bodies, if applicable.
- Contribute to ongoing research efforts.
- Provide family consultations or interventions when appropriate,
and document progress and patient care details.
- Participate in community meetings as needed.Education
- Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental
Health.ExperienceExperience with community activities or outreach
is beneficial.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Cultural sensitivity in providing services to diverse
groups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong listening skills and empathy.Licenses and Certifications
- Licensed Psychologist, LMSW, or LCSW.Working
