with application submission.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Development
Officer provides comprehensive fundraising and grant support,
working directly with the CORD Team to drive Outreach's financial
sustainability and program growth. This role requires exceptional
attention to detail, critical thinking abilities, and the capacity
to manage complex tasks independently while maintaining strict
confidentiality.Primary responsibilities include researching,
developing, writing, and managing grant proposals to foundations,
corporations, and government agencies, as well as supporting
broader development initiatives, including donor stewardship and
major gifts cultivation.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESGrant Prospect
Research, Applications, and ReportingResearch and identify new
grant opportunities aligned with Outreach's mission and
programsDevelop compelling grant proposals with persuasive program
descriptions and appropriate budgetsIdentify, in conjunction with
Program Directors and the Quality Assurance Team, evaluation
metrics to track program success.Maintain grants calendar to track
submission deadlines, reporting requirements, and
deliverablesPrepare and submit timely, accurate reports to current
fundersCollaborate with program staff to gather information for
proposals and reportsMaintain organized, complete documentation for
all grant activitiesFundraising & Development Support the CORD Team
in diversifying and expanding the donor baseConduct donor research
and prospect identificationAssist with donor cultivation and
stewardship activitiesSupport the development of a major gifts
portfolioCollaborate with the President/CEO and CORD Director on
major gifts strategiesAssist with input and management of donor
data in CRM systemTrack performance metrics and provide regular
reports to leadershipEvent Support Support the planning and
execution of fundraising eventsAssist with development-related
mailingsOther Duties--- Attend project meetings with program
teams--- Participate in staff trainings and organizational
meetings--- Office attendance is mandatory--- Other duties as
assigned.QUALIFICATIONSRequiredBachelor's degree in a relevant
field (communications, nonprofit management, social work, public
administration, marketing, business, or creative writing)
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skillsStrong
research and analytical abilitiesOutstanding organizational skills
and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects and
consistently meet deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Office suite,
WordPress, and social media platformsExcellent verbal communication
skillsDemonstrated ability to work both independently and
collaborativelyValid driver's license and ability to travel locally
as neededAbility to maintain confidentiality when handling
sensitive informationSuccessful completion of clearances under PA's
Child Protective Services LawPreferred3+ years of experience in
nonprofit development responsibilitiesProven track record of
securing grants and unrestricted donationsExperience with
foundation, corporate, and government funding sourcesKnowledge of
fundraising software and donor management systemsFamiliarity with
family services, workforce development, youth programming, or
court-related servicesExperience in budget development and program
evaluationDemonstrated passion for community-based human
