Johnson and Johnson is currently recruiting for a Director, Consumer Supply Chain Data Architecture based in Skillman, NJ.

Supply Chain IT Product Line Organizations own the technical direction of a product line across business segments and/or regions, and serve as a critical point of contact for business and IT. Individuals in the product lines will work with Senior IT and Business Leaders to identify and prioritize solutions for their product line and lead all aspects of the implementation of these solutions across the business. They will exhibit strong influence and passion for driving the organization towards consistent technology solutions aligned to an overall IT strategy! Product Line Leaders need to continuously enhance throughput of their respective product line organizations and ensure that value is realized by the business through the IT capabilities implemented. Product Line members should have a strong view of external IT capabilities in the market and how they can be applied to drive business value for J&J.

We are looking for a leader that will lead the Consumer Sector's Supply Chain data architecture and strategy supporting business Insights, Analytics, Intelligence, and Digital Services within the Supply Chain Technology - Business Technology organization. This is a Global role in support of the Consumer Digital Core program, the foundational data architecture for the new Consumer Company. The role will report into the Sr. Director of Deliver Data & Analytics and will manage a team of 4-6 and more than 100 extended team members and contactors indirectly.

The role will have accountability for Data Architecture and overall accountability and delivery for the 14+ underlying analysis, data modeling and development teams. Along with driving the Supply Chain data strategy, the role will also be accountable for maturing the products, reliability, and the performance of the products as well as driving innovation to continuously drive value back to the business. Key partnerships include Consumer Commercial BT to ensure alignment of all underlying data strategies and application development processes for the new Consumer company. Partner with TS/External vendors to oversee the overall reliability and performance (aligned with SLAs) of all Agile based development teams.

This role will own, but not limited to, the following global products:

  • Certified Analytics Solutions
  • Control Tower Capabilities
  • Support of Data Discovery and Business Self-Service platforms, and data
  • Consumer SC Data Architecture and Integrations

    Product Line Leader Is a
    • Technology strategist: Scans multiple internal/external technologies/services to define the technology strategy to enable/enhance/drive our business strategy. The role will be responsible to develop product strategies, product capability roadmaps, and implement solutions in alignment with the BTL's, the SC IT Architects, other PLO's and the JJTS partners on behalf of the Consumer Sector. The leader in this role will own a portfolio of Consumer data products and platforms, including enterprise capabilities. This includes working with the Business Product Owners, and their D&A business teams, to develop processes, solutions and the respective roadmaps that allow us to deliver our products and services to the end customer in the most efficient way possible, driving value directly for the business.
    • Technical scope of knowledge includes: Azure (Common Data Layer), Databricks, Teradata (EDW), Cloudera (EDL), Informatica, Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik
    • Investment manager: Defines priorities for business and associated technology investments, Accountable for all financials including CAPEX, OPEX, Business value realization, resource planning, and the overall portfolio of investments
    • Business Transformation leader: Drives business process mapping and leaning; Drives business partners towards standard solutions.
    • Program and Service Manager: Tracks progress of development in the context of the larger program. Reports back to the business on status on the delivery of features, functionality, and applications; has a combination of global and regional accountability.
    • Talent Leader: A leader and developer of talent; coach and mentor individuals to excel in product management; Passionately owns and role models diversity & inclusion

      This individual will need to align business owners and inspire their development teams to deliver on measurable goals and continue to encourage business users to engage with the product development process. They will need to continuously think about increasing throughput of the Product Line and ensure that the full business value is realized by the business through the IT capabilities implemented.

      The Digital Core program includes 14 scrum teams with more than 200 overall resources, and a 2022 project spend of -$25+ MM.

      The Product Line Owner will ensure that the full business value is realized by the business through the IT capabilities implemented. This individual will apply strong business acumen and teamwork with excellent communication/information sharing skills to manage multiple priorities in a complex, high-profile, and ambiguous environment.

      Qualifications
      • Minimum BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent required
      • 10+ years of major IT program management including IT product management and support required.
      • Knowledge of the data and analytics technologies (Azure (Common Data Layer), Databricks, Teradata (EDW), Cloudera (EDL), Informatica, Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik) and concepts required
      • Large scale application development experience in a shared service or consulting organization is required.
      • Knowledge in end-to-end Supply Chain processes and operations required
      • Experience with highly matrixed working environments is required
      • Supply Chain Digital certification preferred
      • Knowledge of intelligent automation preferred
      • Track record of delivery of large technical programs required
      • Regulatory industry experience preferred
      • Experience leading large, complex cross functional budgets desired
      • Experience leading large, global, multi-location teams required (up to 10 internally + 10-20 consultants)
      • Track record of driving business value through information technology Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentation skills required
      • Ability to successfully manage multiple critical issues simultaneously
      • Experience in working with multiple competing business priorities
      • Ability to influence, negotiate and communicate with both external customers and internal partners
      • Ability to influence and lead senior leadership teams
      • Ability to connect with external insights and bring industry view internally
      • Lead and develop internal teams and lead high performing organizations
