Job Description:
CRP Industries is searching for a Helpdesk (Desktop
Support)Technician to join our team for a 3 to 6 month assignment.
Our salary range is commensurate with experience, but starting at
$23/hour.
Purpose of Position: Responsible for day to day support of
Management of Information Systems (MIS) hardware and software for
CRP Industries Inc.
Essential Functions:
Provide first or second tier technical support to company employees
for desktop systems software, hardware and network
infrastructure
Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems,
workstations, servers and network issues
Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for
the desktop environments
Participates in development of information technology and
infrastructure projects
Communicates technical information to both technical and
non-technical personnel
Provides phone and in-person support to users in the areas of ERP
application, e-mail, LAN/WAN connectivity, standard desktop images
and phone system
Serves as the initial point of contact for troubleshooting all IT
related problems, including hardware/software, passwords, and
printer problems
Additional Responsibilities:
Conducts research on information technology trends that help
facilitate employee productivity
Must be able to multi-task
Must possess a positive attitude with a focus on customer
service
Able to follow established processes / procedures but should also
be able to react to, support, and escalate unique situations as
required
Experience in SQL and/or Java programming desired
Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems
desired
Bachelor's degree required in Information Technology or Computer
Science with 0-3 years experience or any combination of education
and experience
Experience with Support Center workflow and processes
Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels
of Organization
Excellent Initiative and Organization
Excellent Communication Skills, verbal & written
Lifting and moving computer equipment
Kneeling, bending and standing to repair or install equipment
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
-- Office Environment. Daily use of wrists, hands, fingers, arms to
use computer and phone. Ability to hear and speak clearly for
gathering and giving simple complex information to a group. May
have to move boxes under 50 lbs. when investigating parts and/or
