Job Description:
Position Summary: ETS provides products and services that impact
the lives of students and learners worldwide. As a Lead Business
Systems Analyst at ETS you will have the opportunity to join a
dynamic team working in a fast-paced environment. We are looking
for cross functional analysts who can use cutting edge technologies
to solve complex problems, and who are driven to deliver value in
alignment with the ETS mission to advance quality and equity in
education. You will work directly with the product owner, and take
responsibility for the quality of all of your deliverables. You are
dynamic and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning. You
are equally as comfortable working independently as you are
collaborating with a team. Responsibilities: Coach teams on best
practices in Agile and scrum Collaborate with scrum teams to
develop cloud native solutions in AWS using common patterns
(microservices, event driven/serverless, choreography, etc) Ideate
with Product Owners and teammates and deliver full stack solutions
in short cycles with frequent releases Practice Servant Leadership,
especially in the context of the engineers responsible for
delivering working software Proactively lead and mentor team
members on modern software principles Give and receive constructive
feedback to drive continuous improvement Help teams to continuously
measure their performance by producing dashboards and metrics
natively in issue and release tracking systems, i.e. Jira Ensure
that all delivered software follows best practices in DevOps,
CI-CD, and automation Deliver testable, maintainable and
high-quality code and take operational responsibility for the
components that you develop Work in a fast-paced team using agile
principles across multiple products Stay current with emerging
trends in cloud software development, including compute, data
persistence, and workflow management technologies Focus on customer
needs in order to understand intended outcomes and collaborate with
the team to solution around that value Monitor and measure the
performance of software solutions across environments Produce high
quality, professional documentation for stakeholders of varying
technical backgrounds Lead teams in effectively balancing new
feature development with support of existing production software
Ensure the quality and consistency of data required for integrated
testing across environments Model a detail oriented approach to
day-to-day activities that raises the performance of the teams that
you work with Requirements: Experience in using Collaborative tools
(Jira/Confluence) for task management, breakdown, estimation and
tracking. Understanding of Agile techniques and ability to rapidly
iterate in a dynamic environment Strong problem solving,
analytical, and communications skills Excellent oral, written, and
interpersonal communications skills Experience building
cloud-native solutions with Amazon AWS (CDK, CFTs, variety of AWS
services, provisioning Infrastructure as code) Some experience with
programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, etc---
preferred Experience with web service development (RESTful/json)
Experience supporting web applications using (Angular, KendoUI,
HTML, CSS, JavaScript) Proficiency with relational databases and
SQL Experience with DevOps (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins,
Containerization) Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk,
DynaTrace, AWS CloudWatch Experience with agile software
development and the ability to rapidly iterate in a dynamic
environment Education, Certifications, or Special Licenses: A
Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Information Processing or
business-related curricula, or an equivalent combination of
education and experience from which comparable knowledge and
abilities can be acquired is necessary. Relevant Years of
Experience: Minimum 6-8 years of progressively responsible
experience in IT Project Management, business analysis and/or
software development Other Requirements: Strong experience with
software testing standards, practices, methods and tools Excellent
planning, organization and problem identification skills Excellent
information and data analysis skills Prior experience in financial
applications preferred Demonstrated problem solving ability
Excellent technical and business terminology to consult with
clients, vendors and other internal staff Proven ability to work
effectively on multiple projects simultaneously (balance workload)
Ability to issue direction in a collaborative, team-based
