We are passionate about your career! Volt is immediately hiring multiple Maintenance Mechanics in Somerset, NJ. We've partnered with a well-known and leading provider of high quality plastics and packaging components. THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY As a Maintenance Mechanic you will:

• Maintain assembly production equipment on a daily basis to ensure they are running to optimum performance.
• Perform & complete hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting
• Installation of new assets, electric, plumbing & mechanical along with building & auxiliary equipment repairs
• Complete preventative maintenance of assigned equipment
• Make necessary and/ or routine machine adjustments and to repair equipment in an effort to provide continuous production
• Train, instruct and audit operators on proper machine operation based on Standard Work Procedure.
• Perform set-ups, repair and troubleshooting on all manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain set-up and change over component on all operation machines.
• Communicate real time status of assembly operations with Team Leader throughout the shift.
• Record all task and issues during shift on a production report via log book and IQMS reports
• Other duties as assigned.Maintenance Mechanics must meet the following requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED Equivalent, associates degree preferred - Hydraulic & electrical trade school preferred
  • Must have minimum 3+ years working in manufacturing environment
  • Proven computer software experience in Microsoft
  • Experience using electric & hydraulic schematics, with proven troubleshooting abilities
  • Willingness and ability to learn new techniques and concepts
  • Ability to work well under pressure, demonstrate safe work habits, multitask, have good communication skills, and be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. on occasion or frequently.Position Details:Shift: 1st Shift and 3rd Shift 7am - 7pm OR 7pm - 7am 3 days on/4 days on weekly rotation Pay: $27/h - $30/hour Depending on Experience
