Piper Companies is looking for a Senior Data / Business Analyst to join a company that partners with state, federal and local governments to provide communities with critical health and human service programs. This is a Contract-To-Hire hybrid position out of Princeton, NJ.Responsibilities for the Senior Data/Business AnalystSupports the Digital product owners in defining the BI and analytics product vision, goals and strategy and communicate those to stakeholders, including project business owners, clients, development team and other internal system ownersFunction as point of contact for data and analytical usage across multiple capabilities, and guide partners on product performance and solution improvement/maturity optionsAnalyze extracted data, identify trends and provide insights and analyses around Digital and project dataDesign, develop and implement new metrics, functions, and scripts as KPIs and in existing BI/Dashboards as neededServe as subject matter expert (SME) in the area of data and analytical product usage for peer analysts and operational stakeholders - particularly in the appropriate uses and limitations of statistical and analytical applicationsInform operational partners on product performance as well as product usage trendsQualifications for the Senior Data/Business Analyst5+ years of experience performing quantitative data analysis and business analysis5+ years of experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools or packages (SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.) with ability to lead and train on best practices of BI use5+ years of experience quantifying and prioritizing projects that require heavy data analysis5+ years of experience working directly with business users and requirements documentationAbility to present data in a simple, clean, concise visual and written mannerStatistical experience and understanding of distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.A strong passion for empirical research and for answering complex questions with dataExposure to (or strong desire to learn) common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, Python/NumPy, etcBS in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Economics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related quantitative fieldCompensation for the Senior Data/Business AnalystContract to hire $50-55/hour; $100,000-$110,000/annualHybrid Work Model (no defined days, local candidates who are willing to go on-site here and there)Comprehensive Benefits Package KeywordsData, data analyst, business analyst, data-driven, digital solutions, building reports, reports, reporting, dashboards, analysis, data requirements, KPIs, KPI, data analysis, business analysis, hybrid, Princeton, on-site, contract, contract-to-hire, digital data, digital analysis, model, RPA, business dashboards, user insights, leverage, data visualization, data visualizations, SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, Microstrategy, requirements gathering, requirements
