About this Job: This position is primarily focused on providing support and performing technical tasks for small to medium sized businesses in the tri-state area. This position involves both remote and on-site work. Remote work will consist of providing help desk support to our clients and servicing installation and change requests for our various services. On-site work will involve commuting to our data center location in Bridgewater NJ, and also to our client locations using a company-provided service vehicle. We only support devices and services that our company provides to our clients. We focus on providing a premium service and will provide extensive training and documentation for our various service offerings. Responsibilities:

• Provide customer support remotely and in-person.
• Build strong relationships with customers through frequent communication and anticipate their needs
• Visit customer sites to provision new services, diagnose and repair issues, and observe and assess existing or potential issues and needs.
• Install computers with docking stations, phones, monitors, printers, networking devices, servers all provided by NetFire.
• Maintain inventory of NetFire owned hardware including products on lease to customers.
• Assist in managing the logistics of our warehouse and data center facilities including shipping and receiving packages to and from vendors, customers, and third parties.
• Oversee tracking of incoming and outgoing shipments and tracking RMAs/returns to vendors and suppliers. Benefits:

  • Learn a professional trade and build a career Requirements: Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Degree in IT-related field and/or certifications are a bonus but not required. Experience:
    • This is an entry-level position and professional experience is not a requirement. However, a positive attitude and a desire to build a career in this field is!
    • Must have a strong interest in technology.
    • Previous customer service experience is a plus.
    • Previous employment at a technology company is a plus.
    • Previous inventory and warehousing experience is a plus.
    • Completed certifications are a plus.
    • Must have a good understanding of the following IT-related subjects: - Operating Systems (in this order of importance) 1. Windows 10 2. Windows Server 3. Mac OS & iOS 4. Linux (Debian and/or RHEL-based distros) - Software and ecosystems - Microsoft 365 - Google Workspace - Microsoft Active Directory - Basic small office networking knowledge - Dynamic and static IP addressing - Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi is a plus.
      • Basic understanding of VoIP phone systems. Experience with 3CX phone system is a plus.
      • Basic understanding of IP-based CCTV surveillance camera systems. Experience with Avigilon and/or Verkada is a plus.
      • Basic understanding of printers; be able to install a basic networked printer. Necessary Skills:
        • Able to work independently and be a team player.
        • Able to communicate effectively and efficiently.
        • Detailed oriented and well organized.
        • Must be able to interact positively with coworkers and customers.
        • Must have strong written and verbal skills and be able to write technical documentation.
        • Handy with tools.
        • Must have a clean and valid driver's license.
        • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. by Jobble
