Position Summary

The Manager, Data Analysis role will solve complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. This role is responsible for defining business intelligence requirements for individual areas; developing conceptual data models and designing, building and testing sets of reporting and analytic business intelligence programs. The Manager, Data Analysis works cross-functionally to collect data and makes actionable recommendations at all levels.

In addition, this role will have people management and is accountable for the success of an assigned functional area within the Production and Delivery Division Reporting team. This role provides input to the immediate leadership role responsible for developing strategic plans and has responsibility for executing these plans. This role manages activities such as planning, coordinating reporting staff training and assignments, staffing decisions, and assessing performance.

Required Experience:

Responsibilities

+ Primarily responsible for executing on the analytical needs of the business to enable the analysis of product operational needs, strategic fit, financial value, and risk profile; ensure high confidence in the data quality

+ Connecting the dots across operational functions through data to provide a holistic view of Operational services and processes

+ Identifies opportunities for automation, efficiency, and overall process improvement

+ Communicating with stakeholders regularly about scheduled deliverables and ad-hoc requests

+ Own the assembly of the data analytics story

+ Partner with Business Analysts and other Data Analysts to obtain user inputs, validate, and prioritize data driven insights into actionable insights with functional teams

+ Implement full technical documentation of data analysis, solutions, results, insights, and follow up on prioritized actional able insights.

+ Stay informed of data trends through constant learning and seminars to provide continuous awareness of recent advances in numerical analysis, computer science, and statistical technologies.

+ Organize and direct their reports to meet goals. Responsibilities include recruiting, managing, training and developing staff.

+ Build and sustain collaborative and effective relationships within Operations, across the organization and with external clients if applicable

+ Provides training and support to direct reports on ETS analytical tools and needs

+ Update job knowledge and develop new skills through corporate training, educational opportunities and outside resources (publications, professional organizations, industry trade shows, etc.)

+ Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function

Education/Exprience

+ An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Analytics, Mathematics or Statistics, or a closely related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary

+ 6+ years of experience working in Data Analytics, Product Management, Business Analytics, or in a different related field

+ Experience using Statistical tools, Viso and strong data interpretation and pattern recognition skills

+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint

+ Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, R, Python etc.
