Job DescriptionAs a System Engineer I on the Upgrade Center Integrated Technologies team, you will be responsible for providing consulting implementation and upgrade services to clients throughout the world for CareAware and Fetalink medical device connectivity products. These services include the integrated technology deployments of hardware, software, and clinical workflow consulting. As a member of the Upgrade Center Integrated Technologies team you will be focused on collaboratively guiding clients with upgrades and migrations of the CareAware platform in various clinical settings. This includes but is not limited to integration of lab analyzers, anesthesia systems, patient monitoring, respiratory ventilators, infusion pumps, and medication dispensing cabinets. You will support clients through regular project events, testing calls, status meetings, and conversion support. You will adhere to implementation/upgrade best practices, troubleshoot device integration, assess risk, and mitigate findings throughout client engagements in partnership with engagement management.Career Level - IC1ResponsibilitiesDuties and Responsibilities:Consult with clients on technical design decisionsConduct Technical training with appropriate client resources such as Clinical Informatics, IT, Lab Analysts, and Biomed, remotelyAdhere to established processes, methodologies, best practices for technical implementations, and documentationAdvise on deployment strategies such as design impactsEngage in client support outside of standard business hours, as neededEstablish client relationships and maintain a high level of client satisfactionCultivate effective client relationships and planning across multiple clientsManage multiple work assignments to meet utilization targetsEffectively develop knowledge of CareAware and Fetalink products and servicesConsult with clients and internal teams on the deployment of hardware, software and services.Consult with third party vendors and partners.Complete hardware and software installations for clientsSupport client software functionalityPerform technical troubleshooting and issue resolution, and escalate as appropriateBasic Qualifications:At least 4 years of total combined higher education and related work experience, including:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare, Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field of study, or relevant, equivalent work experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience working with Cerner MillenniumExperience working with CareAware iBusExperience working with Linux Operating SystemsExperience with inbound and outbound HL7 messagingTechnical troubleshooting and problem-solving experienceExperience or interests with medical devices such as anesthesia carts, physiological monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and/or laboratory analyzersUnderstanding of basic networking principlesStrong oral and written communication skills, including a high level of comfort interacting with clinical, IT, and biomedical equipment staff up to the mid-manager levelAbility to adapt to fast paced or changing environmentGeneral Expectations:Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulationsWork in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of positionPerform other responsibilities as assignedDisclaimer:Certain US customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates.Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations onlyUS: Hiring Range: from $21.15 to $54.13 per hour; from $44,000 to $112,600 per annum.
