Job Title: Sr. Tableau Consultant
Location: Trenton, NJ
Duration: 4 months

Note :

Position is Hybrid. Wed/Friday in office Working hours for this position are 8:00 - 4:30 or 8:30 - 5:00 Engagement will be extended.

Description :

• Looking for a contractor who has experience working with upper management and end users to understand data visualization needs and propose and build solutions in Tableau. We are NOT looking for someone to manage a team or manage the process. We are also NOT looking for a candidate whose experience is in Power BI or prefers to work with Power BI. We need a HANDS-ON Tableau developer. The Tableau Specialist - under the direct supervision of a Court Executive of the Data Division - Trial Court Services or other designated TCS representative will be required to collaborate and provide technical expertise to TCS and assigned unit. The ideal candidate should have experience in creating and designing dashboards and reports in Tableau with different data sources - AWS, DB2, SQL, etc. Candidate should have experience in training and mentoring staff on using Tableau. Qualifications and Skills: - Experience and indepth knowledge of business intelligence tools and architectures (strong Tableau experience) - Extensive experience interpreting functional needs - Extensive experience facilitating requirements gathering sessions with users and documenting requirements. - Business intelligence design of complex systems projects. - Extensive experience with Tableau design and development. - Ability to understand and analyze data to find patterns and provide valuable business insights. - Design dashboards and reports in Tableau with different data sources - AWS, DB2, SQL, etc. - Strong semantic design (like Universe, Tableau Data Source, QVD) and data modeling skills. - Experience with data warehousing tools and techniques (DataStage, ETL/Informatica/Tableau Prep etc.) - Understanding of the Data warehouse life cycle right from data source to ETL to transformations to multidimensional models like data marts, star schema and Reporting. - Strong consulting, leading and mentoring skills Skills are to include:
  • years' of professional experience in building BI and reporting solutions
  • years' of experience and in-depth Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and architectures
  • years' experience with Tableau design and development
  • years' of experience in the BI design of complex systems projects The ideal candidate can:
    • Interact with Business users and understand their requirements from a data analytics, visualization and UI/UX perspective.
    • Collaborate with Business Intelligence/Analytics data analysts regarding business and data requirements, and iteratively designs visualizations for initial concepts and prototypes that can be presented to customers for feedback and later productionized
    • Perform detailed data analysis (i.e., determine the structure, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems and data samples)
    • Build prototypes for demonstration and illustration purposes for peer groups, business partners, or senior leaders.
    • Understand and analyze the data to find patterns and valuable business insights
    • Deliver dashboards to Business team in a timely manner
    • Work hand-in-hand with developers that design and build data models and ETL processes
    • Act as a mentor and Tableau SME for other Tableau users across the enterprise 4- year College degree or equivalent technical study Required. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
      • Overall experience in IT industry
      • Experience with Tableau Design and Development
      • Experience and in-depth knowledge of business intelligence tools and architectures (Strong Tableau exp minimum 3 years)
      • Design dashboards and reports in Tableau with different data sources - DB2, SQL
      • Business intelligence design of complex systems projects
      • Understanding of the Data warehouse life cycle from data source to ETL to transformations to multidimensional models
      • Extensive experience facilitating requirements gathering sessions with users and documenting requirements
      • Ability to understand and analyze the data to find patterns and valuable business insights
      • Extensive experience interpreting functional needs
      • 4-year college degree
