Overview:SENIOR NATIONAL SALES MANAGER
The Senior National Sales Manager will lead and manage the development of the Sonic US budget. This is inclusive of all sales elements for the Sonic brand in the US and will have overall responsibility of the inside sales team to grow market share within existing customers as well as secure new customers across all 50 states. Establishes key performance indicators to drive results and behaviors to achieve overall business goals. Oversees the workflow of all business processes and programs and is a key partner with internal and external departments and groups. Reports directly to VP/GM of Sonic brand.Responsibilities:

  • This role is responsible for developing the US budget for Sonic revenue, units, market share, and average selling price (ASP), as well as the corresponding business plan. This major activity is executed in coordination with Finance and the VP / GM of Sonic SBO. The Sr. NSM is ultimately responsible for presenting and obtaining approval of the annual US Sonic budget
  • Responsible for proactively identifying, developing, collaborating, selling-in and executing multi-brand strategy (MBS) growth opportunities in accordance with sales strategies and peers across the organization.
  • Seeks out and negotiates business development deals to secure contractual relationships with new customers. This will involve significant travel.
  • Primary Demant contact for Managed Care Alternative strategy - an important initiative that gives customers more choices with customers.
  • Lead and Manage Sonic Sales Team (Inside Sales Reps) to meet and exceed Sonic Innovations sales goals and coordinate commercial functions with Sonic Marketing and Training.
  • Responsible for driving and managing the overall performance of the sales staff to achieve corporate sales target and goals, utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to review and monitor sales activities as well as review current market situations to identify and determine customer needs, implement sales excellence to capitalize on sales opportunities and mitigate threats from competition.
  • Lead and manage the Inside Sales team in terms of the call frequency, quality, and efficiency such that this team is driving revenue and exceeding sales budgets.
  • Responsible for developing the sales forecast and incentive compensation structure for each ISR in coordination with the finance team.
  • Responsible for providing S&OP Forecast (internal/external) and developing budget sales for USHA
  • Responsible for fully managing the relationship with all buying groups and strategic partners to secure Sonic as a top supplier within each buying group's formulary of suppliers.
  • Internally collaborating with Oticon/Demant partners to ensure strategy alignment with current and future buying groups and strategic partners.
  • Partners with Operations to ensure a steady flow of inventory to customers and a high level of customer experience such that lead times are quick, orders are delivered on time, and all orders are received accurately.
  • Partner with executive management to identify, develop and coordinate sales, budgets, strategies, and plans
  • Demonstrate and execute continual sales excellence leveraging AIM and ongoing new tools to exemplify sales leadership
  • Develop, grow, and manage direct customer relationships internally with sales staff and externally with customers stakeholders
  • Responsible for the full people management process of hiring, retention, performance management, coaching for employee development, etc. to build a high performing team
  • Prepare, and present individual and/or group sales proposals
  • Support Sales Operations and Customer Experience to continual optimize business processes as sales enablers (Salesforce)
  • Maintain effective time management schedule for sales employees for optimum effectiveness
  • Develop training and mentoring programs to promote exceptional sales team while maintaining employee retention
  • Provide on-going coaching to develop sales staff and manage out non-performers
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities
  • Exercise fiscal responsibility for all financial expenditures
  • Remain current on product lines and features
  • Monitor competitor activities and product offerings
  • Consistent, regular, and punctual attendance
  • Performs all other related duties and Ad Hoc needs as required and requestedQualifications:
    • College Degree required, BA; BS or equivalent work experience
    • 6+ years managing B2B Sales Force, Hearing Industry Experience preferred
    • Drive for results leadership orientation
    • Strong customer and stakeholder engagement skills to continuously build relationships, network and build/maintain external market credibility
    • Demonstrated leadership skills
    • Ability to operate in a fast paced and demanding work environment
    • Utilization of strong interpersonal skills to be persuasive while simultaneously building rapport and confidence with staff
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Proven ability to work independently, yet collaborate with both internal and external groups
    • Possess initiative, positive attitude and be a team player
    • Exercise strong problem-solving skills
    • Proficient with Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite; advanced knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred
    • Ability to travel extensively when necessary; 50% domestic travel, occasional international travel
