Job Description:
We're currently looking for a Government Sales Representative
(GSR) to join our US Sales Team.
The Government Sales Representative (GSR) is responsible for
federal and state governmental organizations of existing customers,
prospects, resellers and partners. The GSR drives results through
aggressive prospecting, high-touch selling processes, teamwork and
exceptional customer and reseller relationships. The GSR
collaborates across the Sales, Customer Service, Solution
Consulting, Channel Management, and Product Management teams to
maximize new seat license sales.
Main Responsibilities:
- Generating revenue from new and existing customers by
leveraging marketing developed leads, self-generated leads and
channel leads through self-generated account and opportunity
plans.
- Our GTM in government includes resellers and partners. GSR is
responsible for maintaining good relationships with all resellers
and being their conduit between their customers and
Infragistics.
- Building net new business through prospecting, relationship
building, and follow through to close sales; sales are handled
primarily via phone, email, chat, social media, web application and
onsite visits as necessary.
- Researching government accounts, identifying key players,
generate interest and obtain business requirements. Work with
his/her Virtual Account team (i.e. Managing Director, Solutions
Consultants, Product Management, etc.) to strategize in developing
appropriate account and opportunity plans.
- Respond to incoming inquiries from government entities
interested in the solutions and direct them to the best possible
fit based upon our offerings.
- GSR will utilize Infragistics software (intent identification,
email automation, chat, video, CRM, etc.) to reach existing and
prospective customers and create clear and accurate presentations
and written proposals and quotations for them outlining their
options and best recommended course of action.
- Resolving customer problems and complaints.
- Report to the management on customer needs, problems and
interests that can best guide the product roadmap and customer
engagement models.
- Report on competitor activities to better enable our marketing
efforts and lead generation campaigns.
- Maintain knowledge of our products and services as well as
market conditions and trends.
- Accurately maintain all prospect and customer interaction in
Infragistics utilized software systems including Salesforce.
Updating forecast and opportunity details within Salesforce on a
timely basis is mandatory.
- Meet or exceed software licensing revenue quotas and software
seat sales targets. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Highly motivated, intelligent, professionally persistent
self-starter with a track record of successful, credible follow-up
and cold calling into multiple management levels within federal,
state government or governmental agencies.
- Possess high energy, maintain a persistent mindset, enthusiasm,
and be extremely goal oriented.
- Preferred 2 years' successful experience in software sales to
federal, state government or governmental agencies.
- An understanding of information technology and comfortable
discussing technology with customers.
- A team player with the ability to work in a high-energy sales
team environment with a desire to work with others for broader
success.
- Experience and success working within a revenue quota and
commission structure.
- Positive and energetic presentation skills, excellent listening
skills, and strong writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once, and operate
successfully in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
