Minimum Qualifications: Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or equivalent) from an accredited program. Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a veterinary technician in a clinical setting. Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within a veterinary or animal care environment. Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, procedures, and animal handling techniques. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism. Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology or related field. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and inventory management software. Advanced training or certification in anesthesia, surgical assistance, or emergency care. Previous experience in a leadership role within a veterinary clinic or animal care facility. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on client education and team collaboration. Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate daily activities of veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure smooth clinic operations. Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures, ensuring adherence to safety and care standards. Manage patient records, prepare treatment plans, and administer medications as prescribed by veterinarians. Train and mentor junior veterinary technicians, providing guidance on clinical techniques and professional development. Maintain and sterilize medical equipment, monitor inventory of supplies, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding animal care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up procedures. Collaborate with the veterinary team to develop and implement protocols that improve patient care and clinic efficiency.
