Position Details: As the Research Assistant, you will work on
National Institute for Health (NIH)-funded and other studies
investigating behavioral and cognitive neural correlates of
toddlers, preschoolers and children with autism and related
neurodevelopmental conditions. You will support the Senior Research
Scientist – Director of the Autism Center and staff with MRI and
behavioral data collection, database management, data quality
control, analysis, and manuscript preparation. This is a full-time,
non-exempt hybrid position (minimum of 4 days in office per week)
located in our Midtown, New York office. You Will: Support the
Principal Investigator and site clinicians in outreach, recruitment
and collection of behavioral data from participating children
and/or parents. Collect physiological data, eye tracking for
assigned studies and help acquire neuroimaging data while ensuring
a high-quality experience for research participants. Protect
personal and sensitive information and IRB related documentation.
Conduct regular data quality control. Collaborate with the
Principal Investigator and research scientists in data analyses,
result interpretation and manuscript preparation. Conduct and
summarize scientific literature review. Present findings at team
meetings. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned. You
Have: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience or other
related scientific fields (or anticipated by the end of June 2026).
Some clinical and/or research experience in autism or related
neurodevelopmental conditions. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite;
familiarity with R and/or python. Attention to detail: Strong focus
on accuracy and completeness. Time management: Ability to meet
deadlines and manage workload. Problem-solving: Proactively address
issues and find solutions. Multitasking: Capable of handling
several tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in software: Familiarity
with MS Office, Google Workspace, or relevant software.
Interpersonal skills: Strong teamwork, collaboration, compassion
and understanding, including with toddlers, caregivers and children
with autism. Flexibility: Adaptable to changing needs and

salary range for the position is posted. Factors such as
candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related

considerations affect the salary offered within this range. In
